In communion, the bread reminds us of Christ’s body, broken so we can be made whole, and the cup reminds us of His blood that was shed so we can be redeemed. Without the shedding of His blood, there will be no remission of sins.

Communion Is Not Just a Ritual

1. Remembering the sacrifice of Christ
2. Declaration of our covenant with God
3. Participating in the life of Christ
4. Communion affirms our unity as the body of Christ
5. Communion equips us for the next season of ministry

As we end and seal our fasting, maybe our stomach is empty, but we are filled with Christ. We maybe hungry in the physical, but our spirit is full.

God’s strength for the journey. Communion fills us with Christ.

1 Kings 19:7-8 (NKJV)
“And the angel of the LORD came back the second time, and touched him, and said, ‘Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.’ So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.”
